John has spent more than twenty years in private equity and venture capital, as an investor and an advisor to investors. He has held leadership roles at a number of investment firms, as well as at McKinsey and Bain, where he was an Associate Partner.
He acts as a mentor on two agrifood accelerator programs (SHAKE Climate and SVG THRIVE Agrifood), and is an active angel investor in the sector.
He spent four years as an advisor to the Innovate UK sponsored Agri-EPI Centre, leading their investment support strategy. He holds an MA from Oxford University.

Allan has combined an extensive finance career with running an arable farming business, Luffness Mains Farming in East Lothian.
He is a chartered accountant, and has acted as CFO of an international corporate group, and chair of two DB pension schemes.
He was an NED at the James Hutton Institute, Chair of UK Potato Council and an NED at AHDB. He was a board member at the Innovate UK sponsored Agri-EPI Centre. He has also served as Chairman of the Farmers Club in London.

Dave spent 25 years in agri-food academia, both publishing / patenting, and working with industry partners to develop agri-tech solutions. He has assisted In creating a number of company spin-outs.
He pioneered systems to provide quality control of potato and root crops, effective and accurate measurement of GHGs from livestock, and monitor livestock (meat) quality. Systems are now deployed in various continents to measure national GHG emissions, and meat quality systems are in the global market.
For the past 10 years Dave has been CEO of one of the four UK Agri-tech Centres, Agri-EPI Centre, and led on many industry partnership projects to commercialisation and scaling. Latterly Dave led the International and Investment Directorship of the recently merged vehicle, the UK Agri-tech Centre.
